To begin, ensure that you are logged into your account, go to the left hand menu, and click on “Shipping”.
You will be on the “Manage Shipping” page and notice that Free Shipping is already set up, Please note that this default is Free Shipping applied for every order across all zones. If you want to offer Free Shipping on ALL orders for ALL zones, you do not need to do anything further. If you are not offering free shipping for all zones, you will need to create one or more rules.
Add Shipping Rule
In order to create a rule, you will click on the “Add Shipping Rule” button on the top right. That will take you to the “Add Shipping Rule” page.
Title of Shipping Rule
The first field to fill in is “Title of Shipping Rule” – you will want your shipping rule title to be something that represents the nature of the rule and may say something about the zones it’s applied to. For example, if you have a zone of west coast states that is Flat Fee by Order Value”, you may want to call it: West Coast Flat Fee by Order Value.
Shipping Zone Group
The next field is “Shipping Zone Group” – from the drop-down, you will want to select the zone or zones that this rule applies to. Continuing on the above example, for West Coast states, you would want to select California, Washington, and Oregon. Note as previously mentioned, since you’ve applied these three states/zones to this rule, you cannot assign another rule to them as well – you can only have one rule per zone.
Select Shipping Rule
The next field is “Select Shipping Rule” – from the drop-down you will select from the four rules described above: Flat Fee by Item Count, Flat Fee by Order Value, Flat Fee by Weight, and Fee per Item. Remember, this rule will be applied to the zone or zones you selected in the previous field.
Once you’ve selected your shipping rule, you will follow the steps outlined above to establish your tiers, Max and Min ranges, and fees.
Once you are happy with the rule, click SAVE and it will be added to the main dashboard on the Manage Shipping page.
